Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen him enter mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu (his popular hit song from 2016) won an Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. The singer released his first long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 in the Top Latin Albums chart. Following that year, he joined forces with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and dropped the album Dopamina in the following year. In 2021, he also performed the duet for TINI's smash streaming single Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo is a renowned musician, born into a musical family. Both his parents were both musicians. In his interviews, he said his participation in music as compulsory. When he was a kid, he began learning to play the saxophone and as well as piano and ukulele. Although he initially wanted to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban singing teacher would change his direction in life.
