Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, old boleros, and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana loves tangos, operas and other theatrical performances. Ana started learning how to play the piano and sing at an early age together with her mom. The formal training in singing when she reached the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. The beginning of her professional career was spent performing with various chamber ensembles and opera choruses and chamber groups in Guadalajara. Following her move in America, United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002, she made her way to Southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her passion for performing, music, and the arts keep her engaged in local projects in both her capacity as an artist and instructor. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor in The Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able to be able to share her love for traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can help younger generations continue the tradition.
